At the end of the 1980s, PAVICEN LIMITADA entered the field of urban development infrastructure construction, for which the partners made the decision to acquire better equipment and increase staff. Additionally, the exploitation of Tajo El Común, located in Guachipelín de Escazú began, this pit of volcanic tuffs ensures the availability of materials such as sand and ballast, necessary for the development of the company.
As of the year 2000, with the company duly consolidated and positioned in the urban development market, the decision was made to modernize its equipment in order to provide a more efficient service.
At the end of 2006, the company moved to a 40,000 m2 site in the Alajuela Industrial Zone, where the new offices, workshops and asphalt mix production plant are currently located.
